What is PPE?
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is ideal “dress code” for researchers, healthcare providers and technicians, in order to keep them at a very low risk of infection.
Who needs PPE?
Ideally, everyone should wear a face mask when outside their homes, in addition to keeping a 6-foot distance between themselves and others, as recommended by the CDC. The following people should take extra precaution:
Healthcare personnel interacting with COVID-19 patients
Healthcare personnel testing for COVID-19 infections
Patients with confirmed or suspected infection
Preferred PPE
N95 or Higher Respirator
Alternative PPE
Facemask
